When you’re designing for colored paper, you need an easy way to simulate the design.
You can change the on-screen color of your paper. This makes it easy for you to design for nonwhite paper.
The Paper color appears on-screen only and does not affect output; it is intended only to simulate designing for colored paper.
Choose Windows > Swatches. With no text or objects selected, double-click the Paper color in the Swatches panel.

Define paper colorIn the Swatch Options dialog box specify a color value. (Check Preview to see what it looks like), and click OK.
