Getting started Tip # 1: A notebook set

Want to you get started with OneNote? This post is the first in a series about the basics.

Some of you want to know what is OneNote. It is the ultimate digital notebook. Consider you can collect it as a huge container, and organize all kinds of information. You can use it as a guestbook, photo album, research notebook, and more. Want a OneNote notebook is as a traditional notebook organized, except you can add or delete many sections and pages as you.

Today you will learn how to:

Establish a NotebookAdd sections and page name sections and pages

Establish a new notebook

Here, you can see how OneNote is organised. Notebooks in the left hand column listed sections are the tabs on top and sides in each section are listed in the right column.

How OneNote is organized

To create a new notebook:

Go to file, and then click new.Select my computer. (Later tips will save your notebook, discuss on the Web or on a network site of the company.)Name your notebook, and then click create notebook.

Your new notebook with a section already opens, and you can want it as many sections as you.

A notebook to a new section:

You will see a tab with a star on it the right of a section tab.Click on the selected tab, create a new section.Each a new section add an another marked tab on the right side opens.

Create a new OneNote section

To name a section:

Name your sections by right-clicking on the section tab. Select Rename, and type a name for the section.

Add a new page:

Click above on the right column on new page .A new page is automatically added to the list.

To name a new page:

Type the title on the page itself, and the tab page automatically populates with the name.
