The changing face of Office

Sometimes like how Microsoft Office forever already there, but in reality, it was only 22 years seem it. This is not long when you consider that consumer PCs began in the 1970s on the market available.

Microsoft Office has significant transformation since the days of the cheers, r.e.m and grunge fashion of the late 1980s. One thing has remained constant over the years: developed Office as customer needs and usage patterns have changed.

With the latest version of Office, we embraced three major technology trends that have been developed in recent years: the importance of social networking, mobile computing, and cloud enable computing, people for the manufacture of another and information from any device, anywhere.

An early example of the connection between customer and product development is Outlook. In the late 1990's Outlook as E-mail to importance, was integrated with Office. Today, what was once simply send and receive an indispensable tool of messages now, to organize our lives. I, like so many of our customers, start and finish my day in Outlook and can not imagine a world without you.

Recently we Office in response to the growth in social media adapted. Office 2010 the social Outlook Connector helps me a richer, more relevant conversation with someone who directly from my Inbox have. If I get E-mail from someone, I see the sender's image and our recent interactions, latest together with the person social media activity of Windows Live, Facebook and LinkedIn. As our work and life increasingly overlap, such integrated communication tools are commonplace.

Back in 2003, as was more ubiquitous laptop use, and we saw that people were looking for the free-form features of paper with easy access, organization and search capabilities of digital technology integrate, we have OneNote. This application is a digital notebook allows you to enter text, images, video and audio in a single "reference" and release it in a really flexible and easy way. Today, you can where you go these notes apps access to OneNote online with Office Web or from your Windows phone 7 or your iPhone. The application has many fans, and I have also heard some of them call it "the Inbox for my brain", because it so quickly and easily to virtually any content in OneNote on the fly to secure.

Continue along with the rapid adoption of cloud computing, with Office Web develop Office apps as a prime example. More people leave on the Web for work, entertainment and personal tasks, are still on many devices and social networks such as the useful Office tools available that people know and trust and rely on every day.

It may sound a bit utopian, but take a look at our history. It was not long ago when the automatic spelling checker in Word was considered groundbreaking. Office has come a long way in the last 20 years; expect that to travel too far in the years ahead.
