Make an Awesome Logo in Photoshop

When I was studying, I remember a time when the teacher asked us to make our own personal logo; It was my graphic design class and I really hated it. I don't know what to do or what to do, I know not how to use Photoshop at the time. Despite this, I was trying to discover and get familiar with it. I learned to love photoshop, and therefore my journey in design started.

Now, before you begin this tutorial, we must keep a few things in mind during the making of a logo.

Before you begin a project of creation of logo for a client, it is better if collect you information that your customer is looking for. It is better if ask you this question as the name of product or a service, a slogan or tag line, specific colors etc.

In addition, if you try to make a logo, it should be a mixture of old and new especially if it is a company logo. There is not need to be connected with a logo; because not everyone can relate to it. Then, use colors that are related to the business. You should explore carefully before colours for use in your logo. And last, steal ideas form to other corporate logos.

To start with, we will use Photoshop because it has a greater audience than Illustrator.

First of all, put in place your Documents in Photoshop.

Open your Photoshop, then go in the file, and then click New.
Specify the file name and size - height and width.
Second, if you have the name of the company you can experiment with the selection of fonts. Don't forget, the legibility of the logo. The logo must be effective. He must stick to your head.
Select the text tool in the left menu.
Type the name of the company in the document workspace. the background of the document must be white or a white background.
You can adjust the setting on the properties of the text at the top.
You can even access the character window - where you can adjust the distance or the thickness of the font of the text.

Experience, until arrive you at something that will work for you.

Police of the Logos should be simple. Now, adding the symbol. Some logos work well with text only, but most of the time that an important symbol is needed which will make the logo stand out.

You need to find a symbol that you think will represent the company. In making a symbol or a logo design by using the tool pen is very important if you want to create shapes and retain a vector format.

It is better if make you an original drawing on your logo, but if you do not have the jurisdiction then you can copy the image or vector tracing.

If you have the trace image, open in Photoshop.

Select the image (Ctrl + A) then copy (Ctrl + C)
Return to your logo and then paste (Ctrl + V)
After you pasted the image, go to the left menu and then select the text tool marquee rectangular - use on the part of the image that you need to do and then press the delete key.
Click on the magnifying glass to enlarge the image closer, and then select the pen tool. Before starting to make sure that the foreground color is the same. Then in the window of the layer which is located to the right, select the circular icon and click on create a new layer.
Then, in the layer window make the opacity of the new layer of 0%, because it is more convenient tracing without image masking color.

You can use separate layers for all the colors you use so that it would be easier to fix things if you made a mistake. You can simply delete the layer and then redo.

When you have completed the drawing, select the first to the last layer of vector that you use. Just hold down the SHIFT key to select all the. Click on the circular icon in the layer window and select New Group layers, so that you can easily move around the image.

Now, you can move the text and the image of what position you never think that best. In addition, you can use effects on the logo using degraded overlay.

If you are a first timer, it is good if the logo does not come to this great on the first try. All you need to do is to experiment, explore, practice and be creative. Just play with the tools needed to become familiar with Adobe Photoshop, just as I did.
